Lt. Gen. Hoang Xuan Chien and his Canadian counterpart Bill Matthews. The two officials highly valued the recent defence cooperation results in such fields as high-level mutual visits, dialogue - consultation, personnel training, UN peacekeeping operations, maritime security, defence industry, border management, migration, and cooperation at regional and international forums, matching the areas promoted by the two countries’ leaders and defence ministries under the 2019 memorandum of understanding (MoU) on defence cooperation and the defence cooperation plan for 2021-2023. Delegates at the event (Photo: VNA) Seoul (VNA) – A delegation from the State Audit Office of Vietnam (SAV), led by Deputy Auditor General Nguyen Tuan Anh, attended the 59th meeting of the Governing Board of the Asian Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI) in Busan city, the Republic of Korea (RoK) from September 19-22. The event was co-chaired by the State Audit Office (SAO) of Thailand as the Chair of ASOSAI and the National Audit Office of China as the Secretary General of ASOSAI. The SAV attended the event in its capacity as a member of the ASOSAI Governing Board for the 2021-2024 tenure. At the meeting, ministers pointed to major difficulties and challenges currently, especially those related to climate change, environment, food security, energy, water resources as well as the decline in trust and multilateral cooperation. The 4,000sqm expo will comprise 120 booths, displaying products in hardware and machinery, textiles and inputs, interior and exterior furniture, electronics and household appliances.
