Vietnam’s digital transformation is designed to be based on three main pillars namely institution, infrastructure, and manpower. Dak Lak prepares for export of passion fruit to China
Vietnamese passion fruit (Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – The Dak Lak province Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is preparing necessary conditions for the shipping of local passion fruit to China, as the fruit has been officially allowed to enter the market. The preparation includes supporting businesses and farmers in making the fruit meet related requirements. The Central Highlands province is home to 1,055ha of passion fruit, of which 884ha are yielding 14,703 tonnes annually. The planting area and production of passion fruit nationwide are continuously increasing, especially in Central Highlands localities. Currently, Vietnam grows the fruit on about 6,000ha across 46 cities and provinces with an annual output of 300,000-400,000 tonnes. P/S extends collaboration with Vietnam Odonto-Stomatology Association
P/S of Unilever Vietnam and the Viet Nam Odonto-Stomatology Association have announced a collaboration agreement to prolong the Protecting Vietnamese Smiles programme to 2027. The programme is a component of a strategic partnership between the two parties to enhance oral health and reduce oral diseases by 10 per cent in Viet Nam between 2022 and 2027. Under the collaboration, the two sides will strengthen education on appropriate oral hygiene habits including organising communication initiatives to inspire 20 million people to properly brush their teeth day and night to prevent oral health issues. Cultural exchanges held to mark ASEAN’s 55th founding anniversary
The activities, including film screenings, fashion shows, flag raising ceremony, culinary introduction, folk games, and sports tournaments, among others will take place from August 6 to 28. Organized by the Vietnamese Embassy in coordination with the Indonesian Embassy and the Philippine Community in Tanzania, the event aims to promote exchanges and connections between citizens within ASEAN and Tanzania in the fields of culture, cinema and cuisine.
