Czech Republic cheers 90th birthday (28-10-2008) On the Czech Republic's National Day today, Viet Nam News spoke to Michal Kral, the country's ambassador to Viet Nam. What are your first impressions about Viet Nam and its people? As a diplomat who has been working in Asia for almost 10 years I was really looking forward to my new assignment in Viet Nam. I recognise Viet Nam, not only as the location of my current diplomatic posting, but also as a modern and fast developing country, with much more than just hidden charm and with a rich and well preserved cultural history.
