Japanese to aid creation of flower trading centre
The Lam Dong Province People's Committee has given the green light for hiring Japan's OTA Floriculture Auction Co Ltd as consultant for the proposed Da Lat flower trading centre. To be built at a cost of US$20 million using ODA funds, the 10-ha centre will be a wholesale and retail market for floriculture products. Later, there will be a flower trading floor in the Central Highland's Da Lat City modelled on those in Japan and the Netherlands. CPV: VinaCapital on July 4 announces the signing of an agreement with Parkson Vietnam Co Ltd to rent and operate the retail mall under development at the World Trade Centre Da Nang, a nine-hectare mixed-used development in the central city of Da Nang. Parkson, Vietnam's top department store operator, will occupy a total of almost 20,000sq.m over four levels. Immediately adjoining the department store will be a 30,000sq.m, three-level shopping mall which will front the Han river. National Conference Centre ready for APEC summit
After two years of construction, the National Conference Centre is now ready for the 14th APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in The 1,000-seat assembly hallat the National Conference Centre Hanoi in November. The centre, which was built on an area of 64ha, has been equipped with the most modern facilities. According to builders, the central building alone covers a total area of 60,000 m2, comprising a 3,727 seat conference room, two high-grade rooms and 24 small meeting rooms. It also houses a 1,000-seat assembly hall, international conference rooms, functional rooms, an international trade centre and an area for exhibits and souvenirs. The press centre was built on the third floor of the building which can receive and transmit audio and visual signals for more than 1,000 domestic and foreign journalists during the summit.
