Officials highlight circular economy, macro-economic stability at Party Congress
Hanoi (VNA) – Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Tran Hong Ha on January 27 emphasised the importance of a circular economy while Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) Nguyen Thi Hong noted the need to stay persistent in the target of keeping inflation under control and maintaining macro-economic stability. In his speech at the 13th National Party Congress, Minister Ha underlined that a circular economy is becoming an inevitable trend to meet the requirement for sustainable development amid worsening resource degradation and exhaustion, environmental pollution, and climate change. Building a circular economy is identified as one of the national development orientations for 2021 - 2030 in the draft documents submitted to the congress, he said. Da Nang’s administrative reform efforts pay off
Da Nang (VNA) - Administrative reform outcomes in the central city of Da Nang have helped the city secure foreign investors’ confidence, contributing to attracting more FDI in the locality. According to the municipal Department of Home Affairs, Da Nang has simplified more than 300 administrative procedures over the past 10 years while implementing 15 projects linking procedures in different sectors and shortening the time for responding to administrative requests by 20 percent in many areas. Thanks to this success, the city has enjoyed fruitful results in FDI attraction. Most recently, authorities granted an investment licence to a semiconductor manufacturing project worth 110 million USD - the second largest foreign-invested project at the Da Nang Hi-tech Park.
