The Ministry of Information and Communications said Wednesday some telecom providers had sought an extension of the deadline for verification, but it had refused. "Extending the deadline would make phone number owners procrastinate," Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Pham Duc Long said. Earlier this month the ministry had said personal information linked to mobile phone numbers that does not match the official national database would be locked from April. If the information is not updated and verified within 15 days, people will not be able to make calls or send text messages. After another 15 days they cannot receive calls or messages either. Thailand expects 17-20 million travelers during Songkran Festival
Bangkok (VNA) - The Thai government will fully support this year's Songkran Festival , which takes place from April 13-15, with 17 – 20 million people expected to travel around the country next month. According to Government spokesman Anucha Burapachaisri , Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha had ordered state agencies to prepare grand events for the holiday. The expected number of tourist represents a significant increase from the COVID-19 pandemic period. The revision corresponds to Decree 08 of the Government, which went into effect on March 5 and aims to address bottlenecks in the corporate bond market. Circular No. 16/2021/TT-NHNN, issued on November 10, 2021, delineated principles for the acquisition and sale of corporate bonds by credit institutions.
