Photo: Nhat Bac/VGP Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on September 20 (local time) presented the Vietnam Friendship Medal to high-ranking global vaccine expert Aurélia Nguyen in New York for her efforts and contribution to Vietnam's success in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic. The Franco-Vietnamese vaccine expert is the Chief Program Officer at Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance. Aurélia was one of the key people who helped Vietnam receive 70 million vaccine doses from the Covid-19 Vaccines Global Access (COVAX) initiative. Cultural space of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups presented on “digital museum”
Photos of more than 60 colourful traditional costumes of various ethnic groups across Vietnam are being displayed on Google Art and Culture platform. (Google screenshot) Hanoi (VNA) - A collection of hundreds of high-quality photos depicting the culture and life of 54 ethnic minority groups across Vietnam is being on display for the first time on the global digital platform , Google Arts & Culture. The exhibition, titled "Precious Heritage Art Gallery Museum" by French photographer Réhahn Croquevielle, includes vibrant photos showcasing over 60 colourful traditional costumes from various ethnic groups such as Dao, Bo Y, O Du, Phu La, La Hu, Pu Peo, Pa Then, and Si La. It also features interesting stories and unique artefacts that the author collected during his journey throughout Vietnam, discovering the beauty of the country and its people. Vietnam’s Ha Giang restarts tourist boat service on renowned Nho Que River
Boat service for tourists on the Nho Que River, a popular destination in Ha Giang Province, northern Vietnam, resumed on Thursday, five days after its suspension. Tu San Agricultural and Tourism Service Cooperative, the only tourist boat service provider on the Nho Que River, located in Meo Vac District, announced on Wednesday that boats transporting tourists to Tu San Canyon through a route to the Nho Que 1 Hydropower Plant would reopen on the Nho Que River from 7:00 am on Thursday. Tu San Canyon, Southeast Asia’s deepest canyon, lies at the foot of the famous Ma Pi Leng Mountain Pass and is surrounded by the Nho Que River. The canyon stretches 1.7 kilometers and features cliffs of up to 800 meters. Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourism Festival set for early October
The festival will feature a series of captivating activities such as a water procession ceremony to pray for national peace and mild weather, at Truc Lam - Ban Gioc Pagoda, a photo exhibition, and a food fair, among others. Folk games and artistic performances are expected to dazzle visitors, especially a “then” singing performance by local Tay ethnic minority people. Visitors will also be able to take part in chestnut picking at gardens in Chi Vien and Dam Thuy communes in Trung Khanh district. Earlier, the northern mountainous province has announced its plan to launch the pilot operation for one year of tours at Ban Gioc – Detian waterfalls on the Vietnam - China border.
