Soldiers on DK1 platforms receive festive gifts ahead of Tet
The delegation spends a total of 12 hard days between January 14 and January 25 attempting to reach four DK1 platforms. Whilst DK1/15 platform couldn’t be reached due to dangerous conditions, best wishes for the New Year were sent to soldiers through the information system. Delegates present gifts from the Ministry of Defense, businesses, and individuals to soldiers who are on duty on DK1 offshore platforms. Some of the gifts given to soldiers include apricot branches, kumquat trees, food, candy, cakes, sticky rice, and La Dong, also known as Dong leaves, which can be used to wrap Chung cake, a typical delicacy during Tet.
