(Photo: VNA) Nghe An (VNA) – A respect paying ceremony and a reburial service were held at a martyrs’ cemetery in the north-central province of Nghe An on May 25 to rebury the remains of 103 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who laid down their lives in Laos. Participants expressed their gratitude to the martyrs for their contributions and sacrifice for the national construction and defence as well as international duties in Laos. The remains, repatriated by a team of Nghe An Military High Command in Laos’ Xiangkhouang province in the 2021-22 dry season, was handed over to the Vietnamese side on May 22-23. Memorial and burial service held for fallen soldiers
During the 2021-2022 dry season, the martyrs’ remains search and collection team of the Thanh Hoa provincial Military Command found and repatriated 16 sets of remains of fallen soldiers’ who were Vietnamese soldiers and advisors volunteered for international service in Laos. The activity contributed to promoting the national beautiful tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source” and gratitude work of the people, highlighting the responsibility of the Party, authorities and armed forces towards outstanding heroes who have sacrificed their life for the independence and freedom of the two peoples. It also helped tighten the solidarity between the two parties, peoples and provinces of Thanh Hoa (Vietnam) and Huaphanh (Laos), while educating people about the sacrifice of the heroes and martyrs for national independence and international service. Transport Ministry announces projects with slow disbursement
The projects invested by the ministry include the transport project connecting mountainous Northern provinces, the Tan Van - Nhon Trach section of Ho Chi Minh City's Ring Road No. 3 project, the construction of Dien Chau-Bai Vot section of the North-South expressway, My Thuan – Can Tho Expressway, construction of the Interconnecting Road to National. Highway No 91 and Long Xuyen City bypass, the subproject on upgrading and renovating National Highway 279B, construction of the National Roads of 21B and 15, and the project to upgrade the runways at Tan Son Nhat International Airport. Another molnupiravir drug authorized for use in COVID-19 treatment
This is the fourth Molnupiravir-based drug produced in Vietnam to be authorized for use in the country. The DAV orders manufacturers to adhere to documents registered with the Ministry of Health; coordinate with treatment facilities to strictly comply with current regulations on prescription drugs, monitor the safety, effectiveness, and unwanted effects of drugs on Vietnamese people, as well as compile reports according to regulations.
