International participants pose for a group photo (Photo: VNA) Moscow (VNA) – A lunar New Year (Tet) festival has taken place at the Financial University (FU) in Moscow, gathering 200 students from Vietnam, China, Mongolia and Russia. Co-organised by the association of Vietnamese students at the university and their Asian peers, the event was decorated with traditional Tet items of Vietnam such as peach blossom and parallel sentences (a pair of sentences written in Chinese characters with black ink on red paper). While Russian was the main language at the event, the students took the occasion to introduce basic phrases in Vietnamese, Chinese and Mongolian languages to participants. Tran Thuong Temple certificated as special national relic site
February 22, 2016 1 views (Cinet)- The Tran Thuong Temple in the northern province of Ha Nam received a certificate recognizing it as a special national relic site at a ceremony on February 21. Located in Nhan Dao commune of Ly Nhan district, the temple holds much historical, cultural and spiritual value. This is the temple dedicated to King Tran Hung Dao. Like many other temples worshiping King Tran Hung Dao, each year, Tran Thuong temple also organizes the festival on the 20th of the lunar 8th month. Vietnamese people have two big anniversaries: The Father's (King Tran) and the Mother's (Lieu Hanh - on the third lunar month).Tran Thuong temple festival is one of the three big festivals in Ha Nam. The festival is the pilgrimage to the source of Ha Nam people as well as the whole nation.They also teach young people the importance of saving and stockpiling food for emergencies. International diplomats in Egypt gathered on February 4 at the headquarters of the Embassy of Vietnam in Egypt to congratulate Vietnam on the upcoming traditional Lunar New Year (Tet) and the success of the recent 12th National Party Congress. The guests included Hesham El Naqeeb, and the Ambassadors from Thailand, the Philippines, Brunei, Malaysia, Singapore, Myanmar, Indonesia, Japan, India, Cuba, Palestine, Mongo, Portugal, and South Sudan.
