The annual fair was first held in 2014 by the Hanoi People's Committee. Nguyen Van Suu, vice chairman of Hanoi People's Committee also attended the opening ceremony on November 25. Suu emphasised that the fair aimed to promote products from various localities to the customers in Hanoi. Hanoi authorities have worked together with other departments and agencies to select products that meet food safety and hygiene standards to boost spending and encourage firms to better develop their brands and products.
