The course was co-organized by the standing office of the national coordinating agency for prevention and control of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) proliferation (also called Standing Office 81) and the Export and Related Border Security Program of the U.S. Department of State, via both online and offline formats. Joining the course, experts updated participants with information related to chemical, biological, radioactive, nuclear and explosive weapons, measures to detect materials and equipment related to CBRNE weapons, methods of preventing the production, sale, and distribution of materials and equipment regarding CBRNE weapons, as well as regulations on chemical management, radiation and nuclear safety, and WMD proliferation prevention in Vietnam. Minh topped the event by surpassing another veteran Vietnamese chess player Le Quang Liem after two intense matches. This is Minh's first gold medal since he started the chess career. As a result, Liem secured the silver medal; and the bronze medals went to Tin Jingyao of Singapore and Megaranto Susanto of Indonesia. Vietnamese ‘blue berets’ plant trees in South Sudan
The activity was in celebration of the 132nd birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - 2022), towards the 8th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations (May 27, 2014 - 2022), and 47th founding anniversary of Military Hospital 175 (May 26, 1975 - 2022). The tree-planting activity attracted the participation of a lot of local people who first joined the event with curiosity and then with excitement after learning the significance of the event. Some actively asked for more trees to plant and take care of the trees themselves. This activity was meaningful to both improving the landscape of the place for medical examination and treatment and boosting the two hospitals’ bond.
