Family of Ms. A Lang Nhip in Cong To Ron village, La Dee commune, Nam Giang district (Quang Nam province), is one of the needy households receiving breeding cows from Defense Economic Unit 207. The 35-year-old woman is facing difficult conditions, as her husband left her family. She is now living with two children and her old mother. Therefore, the unit presented breeding cows and instructed her on how to take care of them. “I would like to send my sincere thanks to the troops for helping me. Troops and militiamen help locals overcome consequences of natural disasters
The Thua Thien Hue provincial Military Command has directed its agencies and units to mobilize forces to help local people overcome the consequences. Thanh Trung and Thuy Dien were two most strongly affected hamlets in Quang Dien district with more than 30 houses unroofed, and many property damaged. Fortunately, no human loss was reported. According to Second-in-Command of the Military Command of Quang Dien district Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Minh Hung, having received the information, the military command immediately sent troops to work with local forces to reroof houses and move families in low-lying areas out of dangerous areas. Troops actively support flood-hit victims
In Nghe An province, some districts of Quy Chau, Thanh Chuong, Con Cuong, Do Luong, Quy Hop and Ky Son suffered from heavy rains and flooding. Especially in Quy Chau district’s Tan Lac town, over 250 houses were flooded, causing severe damages to assets and properties. Hence, the Quy Chau district Military Command have sent 30 servicemen and vehicles to evacuate local people and their properties. Local militiamen are present at heavily-flooded roads to warn residents. Singaporean young officers visits Air Force Regiment 929
The Singaporean delegation, led by Major Barry Lai, consists of 11 young officers from all branches of the Singapore Armed Forces, including the navy, army, and air force. Accompanying the delegation were Colonel Beranrd Ng, Singaporean Defense Attaché to Vietnam, and representatives from the Youth Advisory Board under the General Department of Political Affairs of the Vietnamese People’s Army, as well as troops from Air Force Regiment 929.
