In the first half of the year, the Thanh Hoa provincial Military Command’s Party Committee has directed its troops to promptly perform its assigned tasks, actively made recommendations to the local authorities to implement military and defense tasks as well as ensuring combat readiness, logistics and technical services, among others. Cambodia’s young officers visit Vietnam’s Division 2
As planned, the Cambodian mission will visit and exchange experience with Vietnam’s Division 2 from June 29 to July 1. During the visit, Cambodian young officers will tour Division 2’s club of officers, farming areas, accommodation, and fruit garden. They will also have culture and sport exchanges with troops of Division 2. Brigade 955 tests its troops’ shooting ability
During the test, participating troops used the brigade’s allotted weapons to shoot down floating targets in both day and night time. Under the command of commanding officers, participating troops confidently shot down targets in the first round while ensuring absolute safety of personnel, weapons and equipment. The test was held to evaluate Brigade 955’s quality of training troops, the coordination among participating forces, and abilities of commanding officers at all levels. Vietnamese Engineering Company Rotation 1 receives goods for U.N. peacekeeping operations
Undertaking the U.N. missions far away from the Fatherland, the Engineering Company Rotation 1 has made thorough preparation for their tasks, including equipment, vehicles and other necessities. Right after all members of the Engineering Company Rotation 1 safely arrived at the UNISFA, shipments of their equipment were also delivered to Abyei. Accordingly, the troops received and brought necessities to their barracks while trucks and other vehicles were moved to the airfield of the UNISFA headquarters for checks by the mission’s relevant agencies. Despite the hot weather, the troops overcame difficulties to fulfill their assigned missions. Vietnam-U.K.’s fourth defense policy dialogue held
The dialogue was part of the ongoing official visit to the U.K. of Great Britain and North Ireland of Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam Vuong Dinh Hue. At the event, the two senior officials expressed their delight at the positive and dynamic development of the Vietnam-U.K. strategic partnership, especially the effective maintenance of the bilateral defense cooperation. They wished to turn defense ties into a pillar of the two countries’ overall relations. Vietnamese defense delegation attends SEDEC-2022
The exhibition is one of major event in Western Asia, which is held biennially under the auspices of the Presidency of Turkish Defense Industries. This year’s event witnessed the participation of over 300 enterprises majoring in defense industry and security from 51 countries, including Vietnam. Engineering cadets save person’s lives

Non-commissioned Col. Bui Van Nhien posthumously honored with Bravery Order
In detail, decision No.760/QĐ-CTN signed by State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc noted that Colonel Bui Van Nhien, a non-commissioned officer of the Political Department of Factory Z195 under the General Department of Defense Industry, was posthumously conferred with the Bravery Order for his self-sacrificing act to save a drowning child. Previously, on June 26, while on vacation in Phu Quoc, Kien Giang province, Colonel Nhien heard a call for help as a child was drowning in the waters near the Restaurant Sonasea. Without hesitation, he promptly jumped into the sea to save the victim with the support of rescue staff.
