Mid-autumn festival for children nationwide
Many activities in the framework of mid-autumn festival for children were held in many localities. Permanent deputy prime minister Nguyen Sinh Hung and first secretary of the Youth Union Central Committee Dao Ngoc Dung joined the mid-autumn festival with 750 children at Thuy An centre for disabled children and children in Ba Vi district of Ha Tay province. The deputy prime minister expressed his sentiment and love to these children and wished them to have a joyful festival. He also paid a compliment to children who are being treated at the centre and encouraged them to overcome difficulties so that they could return home soon. Localities organise mid-Autumn festival for children
Although the weather was not ideal, this year’s mid-autumn festival was organised for a large number of children, especially disadvantaged children in many areas, even in remote areas. Thousands of poor-fated children enjoy Mid-Autumn Festival 2007
1,500 needy and handicapped children in the provinces of Lam Dong and Binh Thuan were presented with Mid Autumn gifts. Additionally, 1,000 children were given free health check-ups and medicines by Lua Viet Travel Company, the Ho Chi Minh City Red Cross Society and Tu Du Hospital. Charity performance for children on Mid Autumn festival
A charity art performance will be held at the Circus Theatre on October 1 for orphans, disabled and underprivileged children as a gift for them on the Mid Autumn festival. Entitled ‘Legendary Moon’, the programme includes various performances such as singing and dancing, circus, based on the tales on the Moon. The performance has the participation of Artists of Merit Chi Trung, Tu Oanh and Tuan Anh and artists from the Vietnam Circus Federation. All the tickets are provided free of charge to all disadvantaged children who also have the chance to get meaningful gifts from organisers and sponsors.
