Vietnam's men's football team defended their gold medal with a 1-0 victory against Thailand. They kept the clean sheet throughout the Games. Indonesia won the men's football bronze by beating Malaysia in penalty shootout. Muay and diving each won five gold medals on Sunday. Vietnam also won three boxing gold during the day in three women's events. Aerobic gymnastics brought two gold medals in mix pair and group events, and esports another two. VND103 trillion proposed for 13 infrastructure projects
The Ministry of Transport and localities have proposed VND103 trillion (USD4.43 billion) to carry out 13 transport infrastructure projects between 2022 and 2023. The Ministry of Transport has recommended six projects worth a total capital of VND87 trillion (USD3.75 billion) which will be sourced from the government’s socio-economic recovery programme. Vietnam beat their Thai rivals 1-0 on Sunday night to win the gold medal in men’s football for the second time in a row at the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games. Despite the rainy weather, fans arrived at My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi very early to cheer for the junior Golden Stars. The Vietnamese under-23 team staged a series of attacks to pressure their Thai peers in the very first minutes of the match. Striker Nguyen Tien Linh had a chance to open the scoring for Vietnam in the 19th minute, but his header was not powerful enough to defeat Thai goalie Kawin Thamsatchanan.
