The Hanoi University of Science and Technology announced the establishment of the School of Materials and School of Chemistry and Life Sciences on Wednesday as part of its expansion plan. Hanoi University of Science and Technology establishes two more schools. With the two new additions, the university currently has five member schools. Dr Huynh Trung Hai, Rector of the School of Materials, said it would focus on training materials engineering and technology courses that serve industries such as metals and alloys, textiles, footwear, plastics, rubber, composites, electronics and semiconductor materials, printing and communication. High interest rates cast shadow over real estate
Ngo Quang Phuc, CEO of Ho Chi Minh City-based developer Phu Dong Group, said, "Along with overly complex legal procedures, the high cost of lending remains a major concern to both real estate firms and house buyers, and it's having an effect on those with a pressing demand for accommodation." Lending rates currently stand at between 13-14 per cent.
