Medical workers at a general hospital of Trang Dinh District in Lang Son Province, northern Vietnam have made use of a space under a staircase to create a 'zero-dong clothing shop' which offers second-hand clothes to needy patients. Bui Thi Nu, a 66-year-old resident of Thach Anh District, Cao Bang Province recently took her husband to the hospital for treatment and was touched when she saw the 'shop' and was able to pick out clothing for her husband. “It’s so beautiful! I’m so surprised! The space is clean and there are few places like this. I’m excited. Thanks a lot! These clothes are really meaningful. Ten people in Quang Nam Province, central Vietnam were hospitalized for Botulinum poisoning, with one of them dead after eating pickled carp. Cho Ray Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City on Saturday night told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper that the Quang Nam Northern Mountainous Region General Hospital, where the patients are in treatment, had called for the former’s support on the morning of the same day. The award ceremony was held in Bentiu, South Sudan, on Wednesday, marking an important milestone for the field hospital after nearly a year of duty in South Sudan. Private facilities urged to do more to boost healthcare sector
The minister made the call at the Vietnam Private Hospital Association’s fifth executive committee meeting for the 2019-2024 term on March 24. She said that in recent years, the National Assembly and the government had firmed up guidelines and policies, which were reflected in many different documents, creating a crucial legal basis for the development of non-public healthcare. Warhead explosion kills 2, injures 3 in Vietnam’s Kon Tum
Two people were killed and three others were seriously injured in a warhead explosion in Kon Tum Province, located in Vietnam’s Central Highlands. Doctor Vo Van Thien, director of the Kon Tum General Hospital, said on Sunday that the hospital had saved three patients, with one of them suffering brain injury, one with a perforated bowel, and the other with a flesh wound. As soon as the three patients were admitted, the hospital immediately mobilized forces to give them first aid and treatment. The three are in stable condition now. At about 4:00 pm on Saturday, A.N., a 24-year-old resident in Kon Dao Yop Village, Dak Long Commune, Dak Ha District, transported a warhead from his cassava field to the house of his father-in-law A Tu, 56, residing in the same village, according to police in Dak Ha District, Kon Tum Province.
