The draft laws include the Law on Petroleum (amended), the Law on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control (revised), the Law on Inspection (amended), the Law on Implementation of Democracy at Grassroots Level, and the law amending and supplementing some articles of the Law on Radio Frequencies. Over 177,989 Hanoi laborers benefit from housing rent support policy
According to the municipal Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, 170,338 laborers working for businesses in the capital city, have received aid worth 85.1 billion VND, and 6,796 of those back to work have got a total of 7.65 billion VND. Director of the municipal Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Bach Lien Huong said the support plan has been performed swiftly and timely. The municipal People’s Committee has authorised district-level People's Committee to appraise, approve, and implement the disbursement of support for laborers. Enterprises have been guided to make dossiers requesting support for their laborers in order to avoid backlog of dossiers. The department has proposed the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to extend the application deadline for another month to maximize support for workers facing difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The U.S. Embassy in Hanoi last weekend shared a video on its Facebook page, showing the U.S. ambassador and food blogger Thuyen Vo trying the broken rice dish with grilled pork, bi (shredded pork skin) and cha (Vietnamese meatloaf with steamed pork, egg and other ingredients inside) at Moc's Restaurant in District 1. After trying the rice and the bi and the cha in his plate, using a pair of chopsticks, Knapper said in Vietnamese: "Rat la ngon!" ("Very delicious!") He said later in an embassy's statement: "It was great to have real com tam right here in Ho Chi Minh City with food blogger Thuyen Vo. In the final of Group III in southern Vietnam's Tay Ninh Province on Saturday, Vietnam faced Pacific Oceania. In the first match, Trinh Linh Giang played Clement Mainguy. Although Giang took the lead twice, he still let Mainguy come back to win 7-4 and 6-3, claiming the overall 2-0 victory. Man faces murder charge for strangling, stashing boy inside freezer
Nguyen Truong Giang, 25, was detained by Ha Nam police Sunday for behavior that may constitute a murder charge. Giang said that at 3:20 p.m. on Saturday, a 3-year-old neighboring boy had come to his milk tea store, rented from boy's family. The boy drank a glass of milk tea, followed Giang into the kitchen for biscuits, then sat on his bed and ate. Giang said he was annoyed that "the boy asked him to play multiple times," so he threw a metal club at the boy, hitting his head. The boy fell to the floor and wailed. Giang tried to calm him down but failed, so he began to pin him to the ground. When the boy screamed for his grandfather's help, Giang used a shoelace to strangle him, placed him in a carton box and put it inside a freezer.
