* Military Region 4 (MR4) held the tenth congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union for the 2022-2027 tenure in Vinh city, Nghe An province. According to a report delivered at the congress, over the past five years, under the leadership and directions of the Military Region 4 Command and the Department of Political Affairs, MR4 has carried out youth programs and movements in an effective and comprehensive manner, achieving all set targets, implementing the five-year action program (2017-2022), building a strong military region, and meeting the requirements of military-defense missions in the new situation, among others. VPA’s General Staff launches sports festival in 2022
The practical program aims to create a chance for troops to exchange as well as to evaluate training quality and sports activities among its affiliated units. In addition, it also contributes to raising training quality and the organization of training and sports activities at all levels, meeting task requirements in the current context. Via the festival, the organizing board will select outstanding athletes to take part in other festivals in the whole military. This year’s event draws the participation of 450 athletes from 23 units. They compete in tennis and volleyball contents. Naval Region 2 stands side by side with fishermen
The event was attended by Naval Region 2’s Second-in-Command Naval Captain Dinh Van Thang; Chief of the Department of Politics of the Naval Region 2 Command Naval Captain Do Hong Duyen; Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province Pham Thi Na, and representatives of the district. Entitled Ve Nha An Com (Go Home For Meal), the exhibition is jointly organised by Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) in Vietnam. Japanese delegation shares difficulties with Vietnamese AO victims
VAVA Chairman Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Rinh and officials of the Vietnamese association received the Japanese delegation. On this occasion, the delegation learned about the activities of the VAVA over the past time, and expressed their hope to continue to stand side by side and share difficulties with Agent Orange/dioxin victims, as well as overcoming the consequences of toxic chemicals during the war in Vietnam. High-Level Forum on One Health Partnership Framework opens

Vietnam’s economy recovers strongly amid global instability: ADB
ADB experts at the press conference (Photo: Vietnam+) Hanoi (VNA) - ADB experts forecast that Vietnam's economy could recover at 6.5 percent this year and grow stronger at 6.7 percent in 2023, due to high vaccination rates and the implementation of expansionary fiscal policies. On April 6, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) released the Asian Development Outlook Report (ADO 2022), which stated that the Vietnamese economy is ready for a strong recovery in the context of global economy instability. GDP reaches a high level ADB experts forecast that Vietnam's economy could recover at a rate of 6.5 percent this year and grow stronger at 6.7 percent in 2023 due to high vaccination rates, trade promotion and continued implementation of expansionary fiscal and monetary policies.
