Abandoned infant needs cleft palate surgery
Besides the cleft palate, Khanh also has six fingers on a hand. Nurse Duong My Khanh said Khanh's health has got better but the hospital can't take care of him long so they reported the case to the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs. They also called for support from the community for Khanh's diapers and milk. The hospital is completing procedures to transfer him to the Social Protection Centre. When Can Tho University confirmed his place, Nguyen Duc Anh was too sick to even read it himself. He can hardly see anything after falling ill. "He was happy but cried so much when I read the notice for him. We tried to console him," said Pham Thi Hong Loan, Anh's mother. Loan said she and Duc Anh had go to one hospital after another in the past month. When the notice arrived, she was also told that Duc Anh's tumour had spread. According to Loan, Duc Anh's health was normal. When he fell sick, he would take a few days off but he would get better again. He was well during the national high school graduation examination. However, two weeks later, he had back pain and on September 14, he was admitted to Can Tho City Oncology Hospital. A malignant tumour was found in his left kidney.
