According to the Vietnam Food Association, by the middle of last month, Vietnam earned nearly 115 million USD from exporting more than 226,000 tonnes of rice, an increase of over 41% in terms of both volume and value compared to the same period last year. Vietnamese movie enters world’s top 10 box office on weekend
The movie, released during the Lunar New Year holiday, immediately dominated the domestic box office and broke many records. According to Box Office Mojo, the global box office tracking site of IMDb, "Nha Ba Nu" recorded the sixth highest revenue in world box offices (excluding North America) from January. 27 to 29. HCM City’s industrial production falls over 21% in January

Some industries in the city also saw lower production indexes, for example, the processing and manufacturing industry down 22%, electricity generation and distribution down 12.8%, water supply and waste treatment down 8.4%. Biggest spring blood donation event to kick off on February 6

Authorities in Hoi An City, central Vietnam will hold a series of events to celebrate the annual Tet Nguyen Tieu this weekend. The traditional Tet Nguyen Tieu, or the First Full Moon Festival falling on the 15th day of the first lunar month, has long been adored not only by locals but also visitors to the ancient city. According to Pham Phu Ngoc, director of the Hoi An Center for Cultural Heritage Management and Preservation, the festival will be organized on the largest scale ever this year.
