The journey to Tien Cave in Coc Ly Commune, Bac Ha District, follows a miniature path resembling the flow of the Chay River. The river originates at tributaries in the western Ha Giang Province and then meanders through Lao Cai and Yen Bai before merging with the Lo River in Phu Tho. According to the Lao Cai Tourism Information and Promotion Center, Tien Cave is a natural cave that has not been developed for tourism yet. While it has been a passing sight on Bao Nhai - Coc Ly Market tours, its popularity among domestic tourists has grown steadily since early 2023. Indonesia to allow exports of five raw minerals
Jakarta (VNA) - Indonesia will continue exporting some raw minerals in 2024 in the context that domestic companies are rushing to finish smelters to process the metal ore, said Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif. The resource-rich country had planned to ban exports of all metal ore starting in June 2023 to encourage investment in the domestic processing industry . But copper, iron ore, lead, zinc and anode mud from copper concentrates will be allowed to leave the country until May next year so smelters, many of which were delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic, would be ready to handle the materials. The minister said banning exports prematurely would cost the country revenue and jobs. Companies can keep exporting if they pay export duties and if their smelters were at least half-completed as of January. But they will be fined for every month of delay, Arifin noted. More efforts needed to send lychees to the US
A lychee growing and caring area has been established under US export standards and the quality is outstanding. After many market survey shipments, export businesses have planned to send large quantities of lychees from this year’s crop to the US, which means there is nearly a month left to make arrangements. However, many difficulties remain. Because of difficulties in transportation, the price of Vietnamese lychees in the US is many times higher than those from China and Mexico. This year, the area of lychees grown under standards from the US totals more than 200 hectares, equivalent to output of 1,500 tonnes. Due to a lack of preservation technology for sea shipping , the price of Vietnamese lychees in the US is very much dependent on air freight./.
