Man Utd battered by Brentford as Man City, Arsenal maintain perfect start
Arsenal also have a maximum six points from two games after Gabriel Jesus starred in their 4-2 win over Leicester. As soaring temperatures across England meant water breaks were introduced at all this weekend's Premier League games, United melted away in the first-half in West London to continue Erik ten Hag's nightmare start as manager. "I feel really sorry for the fans, we let them down," said Ten Hag. "I think Brentford were more hungry and we conceded goals to individual mistakes. You can have a plan but that puts the plan in the bin." Cristiano Ronaldo was selected in the Dutch coach's starting line-up after starting last weekend's 2-1 defeat to Brighton on the bench, but rather than riding to the rescue, his presence only … [Read more...] about Man Utd battered by Brentford as Man City, Arsenal maintain perfect start
Alaba free-kick gives Real Madrid win to start title defence
Carlo Ancelotti's side trailed to an early goal by Largie Ramazani away against their promoted opponents, but Lucas Vazquez equalised just after the hour mark. The winner arrived with 15 minutes remaining at Almeria's Power Horse Stadium, as Alaba strode onto the pitch and curled a free-kick in off the upright after Luka Modric had been fouled just outside the box. Alaba free-kick gives Real Madrid win to start title defence (source: youtube) Real were made to work hard for the points against an Almeria side who won last season's second-tier title to return to La Liga after a seven-year absence. "We had lots of shots on goal but once we got the first goal it made things much easier for us," said Ancelotti. "I am happy with the way the game went. We were not spectacular but there were lots of things to take into account, like the game on Wednesday and the heat." Vietnamese scuba instructors popular with international students
Two Vietnamese scuba instructors based in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province are well known among international tourists coming to Vietnam to take up diving lessons. They emphasize protecting marine life during their training sessions. Nguyen Van Loc and Nguyen Tan Thanh are members of the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI). With certificates of diving competence, they are qualified to provide PADI-accredited diving courses. Twenty years ago, Loc had a life-changing experience diving with a foreign visitor in Hon Mun Marine Reserve, Khanh Hoa Province. The coach spotted an unsuspecting squid, which he grabbed and later cooked it. To this his foreign student objected, saying that the payment he made was for him to witness wildlife, not the barbaric habits of his coach. “If you catch and cook it, you get one meal for yourself. But if you take care of it, you are to be commended to my fellows back home,” said the student. “When more tourists come here for … [Read more...] about Vietnamese scuba instructors popular with international students

The increase is thanks to "mild improvements" recorded in closing the gender gaps across the four main components of the index: Economic Participation and Opportunity, Educational Attainment, Health and Survival, and Political Empowerment. In terms of closing the gap in Economic Participation and Opportunity, Vietnam is ranked 31st, behind countries like Sweden (5th), the US (22nd), Kenya (6th), and regional neighbours like Laos (1st), Thailand (15th), or the Philippines (16th), out of 146 countries assessed. Indicators at this level reveal that lower workforce participation and lower parity in workforce participation have both contributed to poorer gender outcomes, the report said. “While parity in … [Read more...] about Vietnam moves up four places on 2022 Global Gender Gap Index
