Red Sea corals threatened by mystery sea urchin deaths
The Red Sea's spectacular coral reefs face a new threat, marine biologists warn -- the mass death of sea urchins that may be caused by a mystery disease. Because the long-spined creatures feed on algae that can suffocate corals, their die-off could "destroy our entire coral reef ecosystem", warned scientist Lisa-Maria Schmidt. In Israel's Red Sea resort of Eilat, which borders Jordan and Egypt, Schmidt recalled the moment she and her colleagues first witnessed the population collapse. "When we jumped into the water, all of a sudden all those specimens we used to see before were gone, and what we saw was skeletons and piles of spines," she told AFP . Toulouse opens new venue to display artifacts from Thang Long Citadel
The new venue will be the second in France after the first in the medieval city of Provins, Ile-de-France. KOICA training course for Vietnamese journalists ends
Some 20 Vietnamese journalists and officials partook in the training course from September 13 to September 22. A journalistic training course hosted by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Seoul concluded late this week (September 22). Civil bridge inaugurated in Quang Binh
The construction began in July 2023 with a length of 6 meters and a width of 4.5 meters. The total cost of the project was over VND 500 million, which was sponsored by the Minh Ha Construction Limited Company (located in Bac Ly ward, Dong Hoi city). Throughout the construction process, the Quang Binh Provincial Military Command directed affiliated units to mobilize over 1,000 working days to complete the construction. Bong Lai I and Bong Lai II hamlets in Hung Trach commune, Bo Trach district, consist of nearly 400 households with over 1,460 residents. This area is characterized by complex terrains and is often isolated by water during the rainy season. TikTok granted e-commerce business licence in Indonesia

He expressed his hope that this social commerce platform will comply with laws of Indonesia and help boost the local economy. Budi Arie noted he has asked TikTok, which replied that they already had an e-commerce permit as of July, so nothing has been violated according to the applicable law. However, he said the government must first study this matter, and that TikTok is combining social media and e-commerce .
