BIDV Senior Executive Vice President Tran Phuong said it is a result of research by a team of ADB and BIDV experts. This is the first time a Vietnamese financial institution has collaborated with ADB to make a comprehensive assessment report on the Vietnamese financial market, covering the fields of banking, securities, and insurance, he noted. Hanoi accelerates construction of smart urban projects

Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long asked local healthcare facilities to coordinate with the Institutes of Hygiene and Epidemiology and Pasteur Institute to diagnose monkeypox cases and strengthen prevention and control measures of monkeypox. The World Health Organization (WHO) has confirmed a rise in monkeypox cases in several countries. The first case of monkeypox was reported in the UK on May 13. At least 92 monkeypox virus cases have been confirmed in countries, including the US, the UK, Germany, Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Sweden and others. Localities urged to step up vaccination against COVID-19
Some localities have recently proposed not receiving vaccines or transfer the allocated vaccines, leading to the fact that the COVID-19 vaccination target is likely to be missed, the ministry said, citing a report from the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology (NIHE). (Photo: VNA) Nghe An (VNA) – A respect paying ceremony and a reburial service were held at a martyrs’ cemetery in the north-central province of Nghe An on May 25 to rebury the remains of 103 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who laid down their lives in Laos. Participants expressed their gratitude to the martyrs for their contributions and sacrifice for the national construction and defence as well as international duties in Laos. The remains, repatriated by a team of Nghe An Military High Command in Laos’ Xiangkhouang province in the 2021-22 dry season, was handed over to the Vietnamese side on May 22-23.
