VASEP said there were some changes in the export patterns in August. After declining steadily, exports to the U.S. increased by 2% bolstered by a 24% jump in shipments of canned tuna. But exports for the year-to-date were 45% down from 2022 at US$208 million. Exports to the EU saw a 37% surge, including a 45-fold rise in shipments to Italy.
