The three projects are located at prime locations on Hung Vuong Street in Hai Chau District, about 400 meters from the Han River. They are the Da Nang Center project (No. 1), Diamond Square project (No. 2), and the Golden Square commercial complex, office, hotel, and luxury apartment project (No. 3). The Da Nang Center project, invested in by Vu Chau Long Real Estate, covers an area of more than 7,800 square meters and has a total capital of nearly VND500 billion ($21.25 million). March 25, 2023 by e.vnexpress.net

The unnamed porridge shop in Tan Phu District sells porridge cooked in the style of the Teochew people, who originated in southeast China, which is served with shrimp, fish, pork intestines, and trung bien -mangrove sea worms. Tang Khanh Toan, the shop owner, said that the business started in 1983, and was passed down by his father. The eatery first started selling porridge on Au Co Street, which is one kilometer away from the current location at 104/22B Trinh Dinh Trong Street, Phu Trung Ward. The current location has also been the family's home since the 1990s. The porridge is quite popular among the Chinese community in Saigon. Mangrove worms are used in traditional Chinese medicine to raise testosterone levels and enhance health. Efforts made to preserve ethnic brocade weaving

March 25, 2023 by en.vietnamplus.vn

At the age of 87, K’Poh still sits at her loom every day. She said she learned the craft from her mother when she was very young. At first, it took her 2 weeks to weave one glove. The craft requires perseverance and hard work, and she has worked to pass on the profession to her own daughter. Her daughter is now well-versed in the trade, and has worked with her mother since 2019 to teach others in the commune. At first, there were only 20 women learning how to weave, but now the craft is recovering more strongly as people teach each other. They often weave at home, during their leisure time, and gather together to learn more. Da Long commune is the most remote area in Lam Dong province, with difficulties in travel and trade, so the weaving craft is passed along by people to meet their own needs in clothing and other items. The roads are better these days, which helps with integration but has resulted in the weaving profession gradually falling into oblivion. Restoration of … [Read more...] about Efforts made to preserve ethnic brocade weaving

March 24, 2023 by en.vietnamplus.vn

Illustrative image (Source: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on March 24 sent a document to coastal communities, asking them to quickly establish their own fisheries surveillance teams to enforce legal regulations on the exploitation and protection of aquatic resources. In a document sent to Chairpersons of the municipal and provincial People’s Committees, the ministry pointed to the fact that aquatic resources, biodiversity and marine ecosystems are declining rapidly, along with huge and unsustainable exploitation. Meanwhile, the apparatus organisation for law enforcement in the localities has yet to be strengthened, and there are shortages of both workforce and equipment to carry out patrols, inspections and the settlement of wrongdoings at sea, leading to the high rate of violations of relevant legal regulations. According to the ministry, about 20% of the inspected vessels have committed violations.
