Hanoi (VNA) - Operated by national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines, a return commercial flight from Seoul, the Republic of Korea (RoK), landed at Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport on September 25 noon, marking a milestone in the restoration of the country’s air transport after months of disruption due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Using the long-range wide-body airliner Airbus A350, flight No VN417 took off from Incheon International Airport in the RoK, bringing back about 100 passengers, mostly returning Vietnamese and Korean investors and experts. Earlier in the morning, the outbound flight carried 164 passengers from Hanoi to Seoul. Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam recorded no new COVID-19 case on December 4, keeping the national tally at 1,361, according to the National Steering Committee on COVID-19 Prevention and Control. Also on the day, 11 patients were given the all clear, bringing the number of recovered patients to 1,220. The fatalities remain at 35. Among those still under treatment, five tested negative once for coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, which causes the disease, four twice and three thrice. No patients were in critical conditions. A total of 17,238 people who had close contact with COVID-19 patients or returning from pandemic-hit areas are under health monitoring nationwide. Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam reported another imported COVID-19 case on October 1 morning, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control. The 49-year-old Russian expert arrived at Can Tho airport on September 26 on flight QH 9495 from Russia, and he was quarantined in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho right upon his arrival. The patient is now quarantined and treated at the Can Tho Tuberculosis and Lung Hospital. Previously, 17 cases positive for coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 were detected on the same flight, and they are being quarantined in the southern province of Bac Lieu. The total number of COVID-19 cases rose to 1,095, including 691domestically-infected cases. The death toll remained at 35.
