The organizer of the 18+ SpaceSpeakers Live Concert - The Kosmik held in Ho Chi Minh City in November 2022 has been fined VND110 million (US$4,690) for showing three unapproved and two erotic performances. The fine decision was issued to Fansviet Co. Ltd., which is based on Nguyen Van Dau Street in Binh Thanh District, on December 14, 2022 and was signed by the city’s deputy chairman Duong Anh Duc. Fansviet organized the 18+ SpaceSpeakers Live Concert - The Kosmik at Quan Khu 7 Stadium on Hoang Van Thu Street in Phu Nhuan District on November 12, 2022. Vietnam's real estate market continues to show strong appeal to foreign investors despite global economic difficulties. The foreign direct investment (FDI) into Vietnam’s real estate market in 2022 rose by over 70% yearly to US$4.45 billion, focusing on industrial and large-scale commercial projects, according to the Ministry of Construction (MoC). File photo The MIC’s report suggested that real estate stands second among sectors with the highest FDI attraction in 2022, which showcases “the strong appeal of the market to foreign investors amid a difficult global economic environment.” Neil MacGregor, Managing Director of Savills Vietnam, echoed this view by saying foreign investors remain attracted to Vietnam, especially in production, retail, logistics, and real estate. As many as 6,000 people in Loc Ha District in the central province of Ha Tinh yesterday made 2,000 Chung cakes, a traditional cake used during the Tet Lunar New Year Festival, as an offering to King Mai Hac De on the 1,300th anniversary of his death. The cakes were brought to King Mai Hac De Temple on February 2. A local woman, Le Thi Binh, said that she and other people in the district were all happy to prepare the cakes and offer them to their beloved king. People queued in two lines in front of the temple to wait for their cakes to be brought to the king’s altar. According to vice chairman of Mai Phu Commune People's Committee, Pham Trong Hop, local people organised the death anniversary for the king every year on the 12th and 13 of the first lunar year. The Hai Luu Buffalo Fighting Festival held in the northern province of Vinh Phuc’s Hai Luu Commune has been reopened after a long suspension due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The festival in Song Lo District will be held on February 5-7 at the community’s stadium with the participation of 20 buffaloes compared to the previous 32 in proceeding years. The Hai Luu buffalo fighting festival The event is expected to attract between 40,000-50,000 visitors. “The festival plan has been carefully prepared to ensure traffic and the safety of the participants,” said a local representative. The organising board will arrange separate entrances for visitors and buffaloes. Firm fences will also be used in the fighting area.
