With financial contribution from the Government of Japan, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Vietnam contracted the Centre for Studies and Applied Sciences in Gender – Family – Women and Adolescents (CSAGA) to establish the OSSCs called “Anh Duong (Sunshine) House”, to detect and prevent violence and support survivors via the hotline 02433335599 operating 24 hours a day. Hundreds of Citi volunteers joined a tree-planting campaign at Nam Cat Tien National Park in Dong Nai province and Phu Ninh Primary School in Phu Tho province, with more than 1,500 trees planted in total. The campaign aims to support the Vietnamese government’s project of growing one billion trees in the next five years. “Every year since 2006, Citi employees serve the communities that they work in through Community Day events in the month of June. This year we planted trees on a large scale supporting the Vietnamese government’s 1-billion-tree initiative, aligned with Citi’s focus on ESG. A Japanese city has been left with more than a headache after admitting a contractor lost a USB containing personal data on all 460,000 residents during a night out. The western city of Amagasaki said Thursday that a private contractor, whose name has not been disclosed, was carrying the memory stick during drinks after work. But the individual, who was working on a municipal pandemic relief programme, lost the bag containing the USB on Tuesday evening. "We deeply regret that we have profoundly harmed the public's trust in the administration of the city," an Amagasaki official told a press conference. The information was copied onto the USB to facilitate its transfer to a call centre in nearby Osaka. It included the names, genders, addresses, birthdays and other personal information of all the city's residents, as well as tax data and bank account information on some locals, the city said. Deputy head of the department Nguyen Bao Quoc said that the sector is building a system to manage education, and organise teaching, learning and intelligence assessment in order to carry out the city’s smart education and lifelong learning project in the 2021-2030 period. Logistics chances get off ground in Danang As a business that provides services connected to warehousing, land, and transportation with more than 200 trucks serving the inner city network and outside major cities, MTV ITL Logistics Danang held a groundbreaking ceremony in March for the building of the ITL Logistics Danang Centre. This project, located at Hoa Khanh Industrial Zone (IZ), is being built over 31,000 square metres with the total investment of $8.6 million. It will feature a standard factory system for lease; a warehouse system and shared infrastructure; a packing area for storing goods; and Grade-A standards for service quality with seven storeys of storage shelves. The centre will be a green distribution hub for Vietnam that utilises solar energy for industrial manufacturing. In June 2022, Bac Giang improved its standing on the Vietnam Provincial Governance and Public Administration Performance Index ( PAPI ). The province has also promoted the implementation of online public services at Level 3 and Level 4 in order to ensure that the rate of online public services generating dossiers reaches 85 percent, and the rate of administrative procedures handled online reaches 50 percent.
