Viet Nam News LONDON — British MPs overwhelmingly backed a bill on Wednesday empowering Prime Minister Theresa May to start negotiations on leaving the European Union, bringing Brexit a significant step closer. They discussed at length all solutions to bring the economy out of the doldrums and scrutinized to what extent these solutions had been implemented. The economists agreed that the measures Vietnam is taking to curb inflation and stabilize the economy are essentially the same as those implemented in 2008. Dr. Le Dang Doanh said, "Vietnam's economy is in stagflation. The Vietnam dong is the only currency in the region that depreciates against the U.S. dollar.
