Hanoi to manage water drainage and wastewater treatment

The Hanoi People’s Committee issued Decision No. 41/2017/QD-UBND dated December 6, stipulating management of water drainage and wastewater treatment in the city. The Decision includes three chapters and 23 articles, specifying following issues: regulations on water drainage management and wastewater treatment in urban areas, industrial zones, industrial clusters, rural residential areas: orientation and planning on water drainage, plan on water drainage investment and development, management and operation of the water drainage system, connection of water drainage system, water drainage services; right and obligatory of organizations, individuals and households involving water drainage and wastewater treatment in Hanoi. The regulation is applied for Vietnamese organizations, individuals and household, and foreign organizations and individuals that involve drainage and wastewater treatment in Hanoi. Ministry proposes draft on cross-border trade

The draft aims to plug some loopholes that have been exploited by traders to disguise their commercial activities as cross-border individual transactions (CITs). It is also part of the government's efforts to promote the movement of goods via official channels, putting an end to trade bottlenecks at border gates. The draft stipulates that traders who engage in commercial activities at auxiliary border gates or border crossing points must do so at the gates or points approved by provincial authorities. The traders and their companies are also required to carry a valid passport or equivalent papers while doing the trade. HoREA proposes extension of repayment schedules for businesses

On March 26, HoREA sent a document to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to propose some solutions for credit and project transfers to remove difficulties in the real estate market. According to HoREA, Decree No.08/2023/ND-CP has had a positive impact on the confidence of the market and its investors. This is the legal basis to pave the way for a negotiated agreement between the companies that have issued upcoming bonds and the bondholders. The decree, dated March 5, focuses on amending, supplementing, and ceasing the effect of a number of articles in previous decrees on the private placement of corporate bonds and the trading of privately placed corporate bonds on the domestic market, along with the offering of corporate bonds on the international market. ASEAN Summit: media registration to open on April 1

According to Indonesian Communication and Informatics Ministry’s Public Information and Communication Director General Usman Kansong, information concerning the first ASEAN summit under the Indonesian chair this year will be delivered in detail to reporters through a media advisory unit . The ASEAN Summit will be held in Labuan Bajo , East Nusa Tenggara, on May 9-11, 2023. The ministry estimated that 300-500 reporters from 10 ASEAN member countries will cover the summit. SBV’s draft regulations encourage banks to support corporate bond market

(Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNS/VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) has unveiled a preliminary revision to Circular 16, requesting public input on proposed modifications that would permit credit institutions to procure corporate bonds as a means of boosting liquidity in the corporate bond market . The revision corresponds to Decree 08 of the Government, which went into effect on March 5 and aims to address bottlenecks in the corporate bond market. Circular No. 16/2021/TT-NHNN, issued on November 10, 2021, delineated principles for the acquisition and sale of corporate bonds by credit institutions. The preliminary revision aims to clarify and expound on various components of Circular 16 to avoid ambiguities and gaps.
