The following is the full text of the speech. “SINCERITY, TRUST AND RESPONSIBILITY FOR A BETTER WORLD” Dear Dr. John Hamre, President and CEO of the Center for Strategic and International Studies, Ladies and gentlemen, I am very happy to visit the Center for Strategic and International Studies for the first time today, though this is far from the first time I hear of the CSIS, a top American think tank in the field of foreign strategies and policies and international issues. Vice chairman Torben Minko How do member companies of the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham) evaluate the potential of public-private partnership (PPP) development in Vietnam? Currently, PPPs are not yet applied in the services area. Service-based PPPs can unlock further contributions from the private sector toward an inclusive, forward-looking, and sustainable healthcare system. As such, a legal framework is a key that is conducive to business via a predictable and sustainable environment. EuroCham’s Healthcare Forum includes three sector committees namely Pharma Group (PG), International Quality Medicines (IQMED), and Medical Device Diagnostics (MDDs). The key interests of EuroCham members in PPP include machine installation models in hospitals, addressing public health concerns, … [Read more...] about Deploying public-private health plans

Japfa policy change irks chicken farmers-illustration photo, source: freepik At the end of April, some affiliated farms in Buon Ma Thuot city in Dak Lak province were quietly closed, and a lot of equipment for livestock has now become useless. Some of them have even had to sell their homes or suffer billions of VND in losses with chicken breeding. Hoang Thi Cuc, a farmer in Hoa Thang ward, poured in over $108,000 into lodging and began to work with Japfa in 2019 to feed 15,000 chickens, but he has now abandoned the farm. “At the time, Japfa said that we could recoup capital within the next three years. AstraZeneca: three healthcare priorities in the new normal
Nitin Kapoor-Chairman and general director AstraZeneca Vietnam At AstraZeneca, our scientists, lab researchers, medical, regulatory and corporate affairs teams, amongst others, have worked tirelessly to see this day. We worked closely with the Vietnamese government, the Ministry of Health, VNVC, and other partners to deliver and support the bilateral donations of more than 70 million doses of AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine. Our motivation was to ensure that Vietnam would be one of the first countries in Asia to have access to vaccines to save lives. Vietnam now possesses one of the highest vaccination rates in the world, and we cannot be prouder of what we have accomplished together. But as a healthcare company, our responsibility does not stop there. While the hardest part of the … [Read more...] about AstraZeneca: three healthcare priorities in the new normal

Techcombank is on track to be among the top ASEAN banks Techcombank’s rise within the Vietnamese banking industry was highlighted last year when it became the first non-state-owned bank to join Vietnam’s billion-dollar profit club. “Even in the very tough environment we are seeing, our employees have maintained a high quality and reliable service for our customers and this is helping us to deliver stellar performance year after year,” said Jens Lottner, CEO of Techcombank.
