HoSE to provide odd-lot trading starting from June

An odd lot refers to an order amount lower than the normal unit of trading. Trading a number of shares from 1 to 99 is classified as odd lot trading. Speaking on national television, Phạm Hồng Sơn, Vice Chairman of the State Securities Commission (SSC), said that SSC has directed the introduction of odd-lot trading. The Hồ Chí Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE) is working with securities companies to test the system and will complete it next week. According to Mekong River Commission (MRC), from November 2021 to April 2022 the Lower Mekong River Basin (LMB) was wetter than normal years with rainfall 25 percent above average basin-wide. At Thailand's Chiang Saen, the second uppermost monitoring station in the LMB, the level rose from 1.84 meters on Mar. 2 to 3.25 meters on May 11. The latter figure is lower than the 60-year average until 2021, but notably higher than during the drought years of 2019–21. At the Vientiane station in the Laotian capital, water levels even exceeded the 60-year average. In Cambodia, levels along the stretch from the Stung Treng to Kompong Cham monitoring stations rose by 0.66-2.22 meters, an increase of around 1.5 meters from last year, the MRC said in a statement. VEC has just reported to the Ministry of Transport on the ETC system for the expressways under its management. Accordingly, VEC had completed the investment, installation and operation of the ETC system on the Cau Gie - Ninh Binh Expressway from June 2020 for 15 lanes. The system is currently operating effectively, with the service rate accounting for 51 percent of the whole line's revenue. According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Viet Nam (CAAV), in April, Viet Nam's airports handled 6.6 million passengers, down 14.3 per cent compared to the same time last year but the number of foreign visitors reached more than 230,000 in April, an impressive increase of 502 per cent over the same period last year when COVID-19 was developing in a complex fashion. CAAV said Vietnamese airlines transported 3.28 million passengers, including 80,000 foreigners.
