Vietnam hosts welcome ceremony for Japan’s crown prince
Vietnamese Vice-State President Vo Thi Anh Xuan chaired a welcome ceremony for Japanese Crown Prince Akishino and Crown Princess Kiko at the Presidential Palace in Hanoi on Thursday morning. Akishino and Kiko arrived at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi on Wednesday afternoon, beginning their official visit to Vietnam which will last until Monday next week. The Japanese crown prince and Vice-State President Xuan held talks after the welcome ceremony. Akishino’s Vietnam visit marks the 50th anniversary of Japan-Vietnam diplomatic ties. This is the third time the Japanese crown prince has visited Vietnam. His previous visits were made in 1999 and 2012. DHL Express partners with ACB to cut carbon emissions using sustainable aviation fuel
This partnership represents a clear commitment by both parties to address climate change within their value chains. DHL Express, the world’s leading international express service provider, on September 19, signed its GoGreen Plus service contract with Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (ACB) to reduce carbon emissions for its time-definite international (TDI) shipments through the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). By investing in GoGreen Plus, ACB is estimated to reduce 14 tons worth of total CO2 emissions within a 12-month period. DHL Express and ACB sign the GoGreen Plus contract. In his speech, Pham Minh Chinh said that such challenges related to population aging, non-traditional security like climate change, epidemics, food, water resources, energy, transnational crime, and cybercrime are developing fiercely, causing serious consequences, while the global economy is facing many headwinds.
