A fire erupted at a lumber warehouse of a household in Hiep Hoa District in the northern province of Bac Giang early on Friday morning, killing one and injuring four people. The lumber warehouse, whose owner is Vu Van C., 46, is located in Dong Dao Hamlet in Hop Thinh Commune, a leader of the commune told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper. When the fire broke out, C.’s family, including C., his wife and three children, were sleeping. After discovering the fire, firefighters and locals quickly approached the scene for rescue operations. The MIC called for a level playing field for domestic and foreign companies.
