She was seen off at the airport by some of her relatives and H’Hen Nie, a Top 5 finisher at Miss Universe 2018. Vietnam, Belgium look to step up trade, investment ties
Trade Counselor in Belgium Tran Ngoc Quan briefed participants on the investment environment in Vietnam at the event during which potential and strengths of Belgian regions were introduced. Vietnam to establish industrial environmental index

(Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNS/VNA) - The Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) has called for the implementation of an industrial environmental index in Vietnam, according to Le Thanh Quan, head of MPI's department of economic zone management. Quan said the establishment of environmental standards in more than 400 industrial parks and 18 economic zones across the country was to play a significant role in resolving environmental issues, reducing waste and achieving sustainable development. The MPI had been gathering data and feedback in preparation to set up Vietnam's industrial environmental standards. EDPR acquires two solar projects in Vietnam
The projects are located at the Thuan Bac District of Vietnam, having started operations in 2020 under a 20-year PPA at US$93.5/MWh. This transaction is expected to establish a long-term relationship between Xuan Thien Group and EDPR to jointly explore additional opportunities in the region contributing to accelerate EDPR growth prospects in APAC. With this transaction, EDPR doubles its operational capacity in Vietnam, strengthening its presence in the APAC region, a market where it entered in 2021 and has been since reinforced with the integration of Sunseap in February 2022. The transaction is subject to regulatory and other customary precedent conditions. Hyperion Investment Advisory Limited was Xuan Thien's advisor in the transaction. HCMC draws US$2.18 billion of FDI capital in first six months
Among these, a total of 291 newly-granted foreign investment projects have a total registered capital of $223.75 million, an increase of 5.43 percent in the number of newly-granted projects but a decrease of 1.28 percent in value over the same period last year. There were 68 times that licensed projects from previous years adjusted their investment with additional capital of $1.37 billion, down 2.86 percent in the volume but up 205.19 percent in the value compared to the same period last year. HCMC also approved 1,105 cases where foreign investors are allowed to contribute capital, buy shares or acquire contributed capital of domestic enterprises with registered capital equivalent to $583.11 million, an increase of 9.62 percent in the volume but a decrease of 15.12 percent in the value over the same period.
