International year of sustainable tourism for development

Currently, the stage for the festival has basically been completed, said Tran Xuan Hung, leader of the DIFF 2023 stage construction team. He said that the construction has taken place for over 2 months, a shorter time compared to previous festivals. This year, the stage is decorated with a modern led laser lighting system, bringing the best views of the entire fireworks area, he said. This year, the DIFF stage covers 1,050 sq.m on the Han River bank on Tran Hung Dao street of Son Tra district, along with a 5,000-seat grandstand. The Vietnamese government issued a resolution on solutions to accelerate tourism recovery and develop tourism sustainably and effectively on Thursday, moving toward turning Vietnam into one of the world’s 30 leading countries with the highest tourism competitiveness. As per the resolution, the government tasks the Ministry of Public Security with completing the immigration policy and creating more favorable conditions for foreign visitors to enter, stay in, and leave the country. Besides, the ministry is also in charge of expanding the list of nations eligible for e-visa application. A plan to expand the boundaries of Da Lat in Vietnam’s Central Highlands province of Lam Dong by merging the city with neighboring Lac Duong District is expected to foster growth throughout the region. The Lam Dong People’s Committee has greenlighted a plan to rearrange administrative units in the province for the 2023-30 period, allowing the province’s nearly 12,000-square-kilometer Lac Duong District to merge with the 396-square kilometer tourist hub of Da Lat. The new air routes connecting the two countries will bring many benefits to the two countries, strengthen the bilateral relationship and sustainably develop the economy. Vietnam Airlines, the national flag carrier, on May 20 officially opened its Hanoi-Mumbai air route, marking its second route connecting Vietnam and India.
