Uyên is well-known for roles in How I Met Your Mother and Finishing the Game: The Search for a New Bruce Lee directed by Justin Lin. In Việt Nam, she’s known as an actress and model. In 2008, she won a Golden Kite award for her role in Chuyện Tình Xa Xứ (Passport to Love) directed by Victor Vũ. She made her debut as a director with the drama Sister Sister. Vietnamese movie star and music producer Ngô Thanh Vân, known as Veronica Ngo, performs in Da 5 Bloods, a war drama by Oscar-winning director Spike Lee and writer Kevin Willmott. The film stars Chadwick Boseman, who is popular for his role as the Black Panther in Marvel Cinematic Universe films. — Photo from the director’s instagram HCM CITY — Vietnamese movie star and music producer Ngô Thanh Vân, known as Veronica Ngo, plays a Vietnamese woman named Hanoi Hannah in a US film directed by Oscar winner Spike Lee. French photographer tells stories of street tea in Hà Nội

Modest iced tea stalls on the streets of the capital have become the subjects of his recent project. EU aims to raise public awareness of climate change impact in Vietnam
A scene of “Chasing Coral” (Source: VietnamPlus) – The European Union (EU) Delegation on October 3 hosted a free screening of the movie “Chasing Coral”, aiming to raise public awareness of the severe impact of climate change. As part of the activities within the EU Climate Diplomacy Week 2019, the event was held back-to-back with a ceremony organised by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to reward the winners of a photo competition promoting climate action, in collaboration with the French Development Agency (AFD) and the EU. Around 200 youngsters attended the movie screening, 150 of them students from universities in Hanoi. A 124-year-old Mekong Delta house bespeaks opulence and romance
The 258 square meter Huynh Thuy Le House was built in 1895 by Huynh Cam Thuan, a wealthy Chinese businessman, on the banks of the Sa Dec River, Dong Thap Province. The house, on 255A Nguyen Hue Street, combines Chinese architecture with some Western elements. When Thuan passed away, his youngest son, Huynh Thuy Le, inherited the house, and it was named after him. Besides its architectural features and artifacts that reflect the luxurious lifestyle of a very wealthy person many years ago, the house acquired added interest with Le’s love story. By chance, Le met Marguerite Duras, a writer, on a ferry in 1929. Le's father did not approve of their relationship and his will prevailed. After the writer returned to France, Le married a Vietnamese woman. Duras turned their relationship into an autobiographical novel, The Lover. The work was awarded the Goncourt prize, France's top literature award and translated into 43 languages.
