According to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting ( NCHMF ), it will be hottest on March 22 when the mercury in Hanoi will hit 36 degrees Celsius. VPBank last week was rumoured to be close to an agreement to sell 15 per cent of stakes to Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, one of Japan’s largest financial companies. With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 24,801 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,439 VND/USD. The opening hour rates at commercial banks followed a declining trend. At 8:30am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 23,380 VND/USD, and the selling rate at 23,750 VND/USD, both down 10 VND from the end of March 16. BIDV kept both rates unchanged at 23,420 VND/USD (buying) and 23,720 VND/USD (selling). Thailand to have hotter summer this year

The hottest weather this week has been recorded in the North of the country, with temperatures peaking at 41.5°C in Phetchabun’s Mueang district on March 23. Closer to Bangkok, the highest temperature was recorded at 38.5°C in Pathum Thani’s Khlong Luang district. Thailand will experience hot weather in the afternoons, with an average temperature of 35.5°C. The highest temperature of 40 to 43°C is expected in Sukhothai, Tak, Lampang and Mae Hong Son, while Bangkok and its surrounding provinces are predicted to experience a peak of 38 to 39°C. The association asked for a postponement of the excise tax for at least the next two years, as well as the removal of sugary drinks, barley drinks, and non-alcoholic beverages from consumption tax obligations. “We acknowledge that there may be a need for additional taxes and fees in the future, but their effects should be carefully evaluated to make sure they help business recovery and do not hinder economic progress. Vietravel Airlines runs first charter flight from Daegu to Khanh Hoa

It was one of the activities in the airline's expansion plans for 2023, aiming at preparing for the official launch of regular flights connecting Vietnam and the RoK to boost tourism and trade during the upcoming summer season.
