A VND170-billion (USD7.32 million) hospital project in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue has been left idle because of its ineffective operations. Many households in Phu Loc District’s Loc Thuy District had to relocate 15 years ago for Chan May General Hospital. But it now sits abandoned covered by wild grass. It was outfitted with modern equipment, including two hemodialysis machines worth VND1.2 billion (USD52,173) each. However, since being bought, the two machines remain unused. Many Vietnamese Tuong (classical opera) performances have been presented to visitors at Duyet Thi Duong Royal Theater and palaces in the Imperial Citadel (Dai Noi) in the former capital of Hue. Scientific documents of Tuong's costumes, masks, and dancing have been collected and studied to restore and promote valuable values of the form of the classical Vietnamese theater. Artisans of the art of Tuong worship Dao Duy Tu who is a Vietnamese scholar, poet, military adviser, and mandarin who served under the reign of Nguyen lord as a founder of this kind of art; and believed 1627 was the year of the beginning of Tuong. Paddy fields in northern valley don golden hue as harvest season comes
Situated some 160 kilometers from Hanoi in the far north, Bac Son was once not as well known as other destinations like Sa Pa in Lao Cai Province or Mu Cang Chai in Yen Bai, but has now found a place on the tourism map with its pristine beauty. Amendments to draft revised land law expected to be done in 2023: NA Chairman

(Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – The draft Law on Land (revised) will be tabled for discussion for the first time by the 15th National Assembly during its fourth session and the amendments would be completed within 2023, NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue said at a working session with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MoNRE) in Hanoi on August 8. He asked the Government to send the dossier of the draft law to the NA Committee for Economic Affairs and the NA Standing Committee before September 1 to seek feedback from full-time legislators. The MoNRE should work harder to build reports on economic, social, environmental impacts as well as impacts on national defence and security, and the domestic business environment.
