Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for a little while at a session of the Group of Seven (G7) countries summit in Japan’s Hiroshima on Sunday. The meeting took place at the G7 session themed ‘Toward a Peaceful, Stable, and Prosperous World,' according to the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. PM Chinh at the meeting stressed that Vietnam attaches great importance to its traditional friendship with Ukraine. Commenting on the ongoing Russia-Ukraine military conflict, PM Chinh affirmed Vietnam’s consistent stance of respecting the UN Charter and international law, especially the principles of respect for independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of nations, without interference in internal affairs and with no use of force in international relations.
