The competition, part of the Taste of Australia event, was organised by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) and supported by Vietnam’s Graduates from Australia Club (VGAC). It had two rounds – an online one held from May 12-June 4; and a final round held on June 25 in Ho Chi Minh City. All contestants registered for the online round submitted video clips with two cups with two different patterns from four subjects - Heart, Tulip, Rosetta and Swan. Education authority asks schools not to force parents to buy reference books
A small student is choosing a textbook In its document to schools, the Department asked teachers and school managers to strictly implement the regulations on the use of textbooks and reference books in general educational institutions. Accordingly, the Department required teachers and managers not to abuse their positions to force or mobilize students and their parents to buy reference publications. In addition, educational institutions are not allowed to list and pack a set of textbooks with exercise books, reference books, outlines, and other documents besides the list of textbooks approved by the Ministry of Education and Training with the aim to introduce students and parents. Educational institutions need to arrange reasonable funding sources to buy textbooks for their school libraries. Vietnam’s labor ministry requests support for Vietnamese victims in toxic gas leak in Jordan
The Vietnamese Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs has recently asked relevent agencies and businesses to provide support for five Vietnamese nationals who were killed and seven others injured by chlorine gas released by a dropped tank at Jordan’s Port of Aqaba on Monday. The Vietnamese victims had been working on the Hong Kong-registered Forest 6 vessel when the chlorine tank fell from a crane onto its deck, said the Vietnamese Embassy in Saudi Arabia concurrently with Jordan on Wednesday. The Department of Overseas Labor has requested companies that have provided seafarers to the ship to urgently supply necessary support to the wounded crew members and the families of the dead in the accident. Agencies concerned will announce the names and other details of the Vietnamese victims in the toxic gas blast, the department said, adding that any wounded victim wishing to be repatriated should be supported by the companies in conjunction with relevant agencies.
