More than 116,000 ninth graders in Hanoi take three tests in their high school entrance exams for the 2023-2024 school year on June 10 and 11. The Hanoi Education Department has prepared nearly 5,000 examination rooms in 201 venues while mobilizing some 20,000 officials, teachers, and staff to supervise the exams. The municipal People's Committee has asked those in charge of all 201 examination venues to ensure the availability of disinfectants, provide guidance to students, and maintain contact with parents on exam days. Currently, Huu Nghi Border Gate handles customs clearance for about 750 vehicles per day, while its area for those carrying imports/exports can accommodate about 450 vehicles. So, vehicles are directed to non-tariff areas which have room for about 800 to 1,000. Meanwhile, from May 26 to June 5, over 630 trucks carrying durian to China went through the Tan Thanh Border Gate. On average, the border gate provides customs clearance for 300 vehicles per day while it can deal with about 1,100-1,200 at maximum. If the vehicles carrying agricultural products and fruits exceed the capacity, they will be directed to a non-tariff area that can deal with about 100. The paper bag codes under investigation are HS 4819.30.0040 and 4819.40.0040. The case's plaintiff is the Coalition for Fair Trade with Shopping Bags. The Department of Trade Remedies, under the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Viet Nam, said that DOC received a request for an anti-dumping investigation on paper shopping bags imported from Viet Nam. The Coalition said that Viet Nam exported US$162 million in products to the US, ranking second behind China.
