In particular, from August 6-10, heavy and prolonged rain in the upper of Ea Sup Thuong lake together with the overflowing of reservoirs inundated low-lying areas in Ea Sup district, Dak Lak province. The floodwater was constantly rising, separating many traffic routes. Route 14C was flooded at the section of Ea H'leo bridge; the inter-commune road from Ia Lop commune to Ea Roc commune was submerged at the spring bridge No.12 section; flooding occurred in village 13 which lies between Ira Rve and Ea Roc communes. These caused traffic jams and difficult travel. According to initial statistics, in Ia Lop commune, 92 houses were flooded; more than 430 hectares of crops, farm produce and more than 1,100 cattle and poultry were destroyed by floodwater. On the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange, the VN-Index rose 0.82 per cent to close at 1,262.33 points. The VN-Index had lost 0.54 per cent in the last two days. More than 541.7 million shares worth VND13 trillion (US$555.7 million) were traded on the southern exchange. The market's breadth was positive with 273 stocks climbing, of which eight hit ceiling prices, while 166 declined. The VN30-Index, which tracks the 30 biggest stocks on HoSE, jumped 0.68 per cent, to 1,280.96 points. At the conference on August 11, MPI Minister Dung said that thanks to the control of the pandemic and the maintenance of macroeconomic stability, the business sector has reported a positive recovery recently. As of July, the whole country had about 871,000 operating enterprises with tax incurred, an increase of nearly 13 per cent compared to 2021. In the first seven months of 2022, the number of enterprises entering and returning to the market, as well as additionally registered capital into the economy, increased sharply. The number of enterprises entering and re-entering the market was over 130,000 enterprises, an increase of 26.8 per cent on-year, 1.4 times higher than the number of enterprises withdrawing from the market. The total registered capital added to the economy in the first seven months of 2022 reached over $143 billion, an increase of over 37 per cent on-year.
