Father plans to sell kidney to save ill daughter
10th grader Bui Thi Phuong is being treated at Bach Mai Hospital in Hanoi. After 10 days in the intensive care unit, she was still unaware of the surroundings. As she had to take a leave of absence from school and stay in the hospital, she kept asking her parents to bring her books to study. Bui Van Hue, Phuong's father, said the family are farmers. When Phuong was ill, they borrowed everywhere to raise VND10m (USD435) and the money had ran out. "Doctors said she can be saved but she needs to stay in intensive care," he said.
