Indian Tata group to build posh hotel in HCM City
Besides projects in iron, steel, chemicals and telecommunications in Vietnam, Tata, a big Indian group, plans to invest in hotel construction in Ho Chi Minh City, said Alan Rosling, Executive Director of Tata Sons, at a meeting with Le Hoang Quan, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee. The plan to build hotels in HCM City is one of the group’s strategies to improve investment in Vietnam. So far, Tata group has signed a cooperation agreement with the Vietnam Steel Corporation to exploit steel in Ha Tinh province. The two sides will establish a joint venture with the total investment of 3.5 billion VND including the construction of a steel processing factory with the capacity of 4.5 million tones per year.
