Thailand, Japan sign deal to promote local currency use

Thailand warns of dangerous fine-dust pollution
Bangkok (VNA) - The Thai government has advised people to wear masks when going out and consider working from home on February 2 and 3 to avoid PM2.5 fine dust pollution, which is currently at a dangerously high level. The Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) forecasts PM2.5 levels will rise across much of the country on the two days as the fine-dust pollution accumulates in stagnant air. PM2.5 has been linked with heart and lung diseases as well as cancer. According to government spokesman Anucha Burapachaisri , Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha is concerned about people’s health, especially those of vulnerable groups, and advises them to wear sanitary or N95 masks when leaving the house, and to avoid prolonged outdoor activities. 2022’s land, water surface rents reduced for COVID-19-affected people

Under Decision 01/2023/QD-TTg, the 30% reduction is applicable for organisations, units, enterprises, households and individuals that directly lease land and water surface from the State under a decision or contract or certificate of land use rights, ownership of houses and other land-attached assets of competent state agencies in the form of land rental with annual payment. To An Xo , spokesman of the Ministry of Public Security, told the Government’s regular press conference on February 2. The Departments of Public Security in localities have to date examined 32 centres and prosecuted 248 defendants on charges of "bribery brokerage", "giving bribes", "receiving bribes" and "forgery at work", released Xo. Investigations show that some inspection and registration leaders received monthly and quarterly bribes from several registration centres to ignore errors in dossiers of vehicle owners, or violations during periodical or unexpected inspections and assessments. Digital technology to spearhead Vietnam’s drive for Industry 4.0
By 2025, the Ministry of Information and Communications expected Vietnam to have 80,000 digital tech firms, meeting at least 50% of digital tech and services from state agencies. FDI to Vietnam’s real estate rises by over 70% in 2022
Vietnam's real estate market continues to show strong appeal to foreign investors despite global economic difficulties. The foreign direct investment (FDI) into Vietnam’s real estate market in 2022 rose by over 70% yearly to US$4.45 billion, focusing on industrial and large-scale commercial projects, according to the Ministry of Construction (MoC).
