There was one imported case. Hà Nội still topped the list of new transmissions with 381, followed by the central province of Nghệ An with 126. The first 500kV super-high voltage power transmission line invested by Trungnam Construction and Investment JSC has been operating stably for more than a year. Trungnam’s project includes a 500kV substation and transmission lines combined with a 450MW solar power plant, promoting its advantages when participating in the power grid of Ninh Thuan province and the south-central coastal region. Pham Nhu Anh, member of the Executive Board of Military Bank, which arranged capital for Trungnam to invest in transmission infrastructure, pointed out that capital is still a bottleneck in Vietnam’s electrical infrastructure development. Vietnamese swimming team exceeds gold medal target at SEA Games 31
Ben Tre-born swimmer Pham Thanh Bao opened an impressive competition day of Vietnamese athletes with his an ecstatic performance in the men's 50m breaststroke event. The 21-year-old swimmer won a gold medal with a time of 28.28 seconds, beating strong rivals from Indonesia and Singapore. It was also his second gold at this year’s Games. Meanwhile, Tran Hung Nguyen pocketed a gold medal after his surprising performance in the men’s 200m medley event with a time of 2 minutes and 1.22 seconds. The 19-year-old swimmer competed with their strong rivals Kaewsriyoung Dulyawat of Thailand and Maximillian Wei Ang of Singapore in this event. Vietnam, U.S. enhance cooperation in searching and collecting martyrs’ remains
The event was attended by former Deputy Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP) Lieutenant General Le Van Han, Chairman of the association Lieutenant General Hoang Khanh Hung, leaders of the association, representative of the U.S. Embassy in Vietnam, Harvard University, the American Institute of Peace. During the event, the association provided U.S. delegates with information about the search and collection of martyrs’ remains. Accordingly, the association has collected and publicized information of 115,000 martyrs on mass media; helped more than 20,000 martyrs’ families search for the remains of their relatives with more than 200 remains founded; provided free consultation for more than 1,000 DNA assessment cases; and coordinated with localities to move nearly 1,000 remains of martyrs in cemeteries back to their hometowns.
